Nigeria’s U-19 volleyball workforce coach Sani Mohammed has launched a ultimate 12-man record for the 2021 FIVB U-19 Boys World Championship.
The event will happen in Iran from twenty fourth August to 4th September, 2021 and Nigeria is grouped with Iran, Poland and Guatemala.
The workforce will likely be captained by Kano Pillars participant, Michael Abari and assisted by Jerry Kinze who performs for Nasa Thunder VC. Regulars like OFFA VC’s Abdulquadri Jaiyeola, COAS Spikers’ Vincent Mathias and NSCDC’s Ozokoye Pascal additionally made the record.
Coach Mohammed revealed that the workforce’s goal is to surpass their earlier 14th place on the 2019 World Championship in Tunisia.
“The boys are able to make Nigeria proud on the FIVB World Championship. At the final World Championship, Nigeria completed 14th which is encouraging. This time round, we need to enhance our efficiency.
“It is our prayer that the boys have an injury-free tournament, play well and eventually get clubs to sign them after the championship.”
To finalise their preparations, the workforce performed warm-up video games in opposition to Kaduna and Abuja chosen groups. They will depart the nation on Thursday from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.
