Breaking New: Boko Haram Assaults Chibok Put Homes on Hearth

Korongilum, a neighborhood in Chibok local government area of Borno state, is at the moment being attacked by suspected Boko Haram insurgents. 

A resident informed TheCable that the insurgents got into the neighborhood around 6pm, shooting sporadically and setting many homes burning 

“Individuals who had just been simply returning to their homes from the farm when the insurgents got here,” the resident stated. 

“They got here in via Forfor, and our people are running helter-skelter for security as we communicate.” 

A military source stated troops from the Nigerian Military’s 28 task force brigade and 117 battalion, each headquartered in Chibok, are already on their way to Korongilum. 

“The truth is, the brigade and the battalion commanders are those main troopers to the assault,” the supply stated.
