Suspected hoodlums attacked voters who assembled to vote for his or her most popular candidate on the All Progressives Congress council main election which was held on the Surulere Local Government Area, Lagos State on Saturday.
In the method, two individuals had been reportedly killed by some hoodlums who stormed the venue of the social gathering’s main elections.
The incident occurred on the voting venue in Haastrup Street, off Ayilara Ojuelegba Surulere.
Reports say violence broke out when social gathering devoted rebuffed strain by some leaders to vote a selected candidate towards their want.
A video footage shared on-line confirmed that the voting train was disrupted by some hoodlums alleged to be led by Deputy Chairman of Road Transport Employee Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Ojuelegba chapter, Sunday Aransiola.
Residents of the neighborhood alleged that the hoodlums had been sponsored by Femi Gbajamibila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, who represents Surulere Federal Constituency.
The voting train was suspended, because of the incident.
The police spokesman in Lagos, Muyiwa Adejobi, mentioned on Saturday that he had but to be briefed in regards to the matter, saying he would discover out.
