The  Bishop of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Ayedun Ekiti Diocese,  Most Reverend Titus Ilori Omoniyi, has appealed to Nigerian leaders to at all times shun corrupt tendencies and put together for judgement day by serving humanity selflessly and carefully.

The man of God warned that God would reward all Nigerian leaders based on their deeds, saying “the corrupt ones among them shall go to hell”, he stated.

The Cleric spoke in Ode Ekiti, on Friday, throughout the burial procession for the Ekiti State Surveyor General, Mr. Oladapo Osalusi.

Osalusi died on Saturday, March 28 on the age of 59 after a short sickness.

Delivering his sermon on the funeral service, the Bishop, Commiserated with the State governor, Kayode Fayemi, over the unhappy incident.

In the Sermon titled : “Give the best you can give because tomorrow maybe too late”, the cleric charged folks to be of excellent deeds and worry of God”,  including that the great work of the deceased would reside after him for eternal reward.

The Bishop prayed for the household and charged the spouse, Mrs Helen Osalusi and youngsters to emulate the great work of the departed

“Death is a thriller of God, Nobody is aware of when, the place, and the way he’s going to die, folks will proceed to recollect good or in any other case work completed whereas on earth.

“Osalusi was God-fearing, devoted, and dedicated human being whose premature loss of life shall proceed to linger within the minds of everybody.

“It’s solely God that may uphold the Osalusi household. So unhappy on the age of 59. People will say, why not 80,100 or greater than that for folks to rejoice, however he was known as on the peak of his occupation

“Who are we to challenge God, the maker of the earth, Osalusi worked, distributed Bible in schools and Church of God”

Bishop Omoniyi stated the tributes from sympathisers revealed that the late Surveyor-General served the Lord and was devoted in his duties, with fulfilled life.

“Death is a very crucial lesson, do what you are supposed to do before that”

The cleric who urged folks to be in the best way of Christ charged folks on efforts to place households and communities collectively for good testimony.

The Bishop urged the spouse and the youngsters of the deceased to concentrate on God as their comforters who will encourage them within the remaining a part of lives including that Osalusi who was the Balogun of Methodist Church of the Diocese performed important roles in the home of God.

Osalusi rose to the height of his profession when he occupied the  place of the State Surveyor General in 2012 till his loss of life.

The funeral service was attended by the Ekiti Head of service, Mrs Peju Babafemi, former Deputy Governor of Ekiti state, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko, Permanent Secretaries, and Surveyor Associations from Abuja, Lagos, Ondo, and Ekiti amidst tears and prayers to God for the repose of the soul of the lifeless.

The burial service was performed consistent with the federal government tips on the prevention of the escalation of the unfold of COVID-19.
