Why I’m Not Happy As Governor Of Katsina State—Masari

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has mentioned it’s a troublesome time to be a governor contemplating the safety challenges in his state, and certainly within the nation. 

Masari mentioned opposite to what many suppose that governors are having fun with, they’ve been having sleepless nights and their telephones near them to obtain emergency stories.

The governor mentioned this throughout an interview with DW Hausa on Friday.

Katsina State has been a hotbed for banditry and different types of insecurity. 

Many residents have been killed whereas many together with pupils have kidnapped by bandits for ransom. 

Masari mentioned, “In this troublesome time and uncertainty, all the problems of governance have been dominated by safety issues from sundown to daybreak. I obtain safety stories at any second by way of many channels each day. No smart chief who has the sentiments of his individuals at coronary heart will probably be pleased in such a scenario.

“Governing on this troublesome time, I see no pleasure that persons are saying we’re having fun with.“

“In this kind of situation, we are having sleepless nights. You only have a few hours to sleep with your phone beneath your ears and whoever calls you at midnight won’t do that to greet you but to tell you a problem that is happening.

“People misunderstood us (governors) as people enjoying themselves. Some people are just assuming things and we must not assume what we think is right because if someone is not in the system, he cannot understand the situation,” he added.
