The diplomatic missions of Canada, the European Union (Delegation to Nigeria), the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America convey our disappointment over Nigeria’s announcement suspending #Twitter and proposing registration necessities for different social media. 

We strongly help the basic human proper of free expression and entry to data as a pillar of democracy in Nigeria as world wide and these rights apply on-line in addition to offline. Banning methods of expression isn’t the reply.
