The United States Consulate’s Public Affairs Officer, Stephen Ibelli, says that about 13, 000 Nigerian college students are admitted to the U.S. yearly.

Ibelli disclosed this through the launch of the ‘Windows on America’ Hub on the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, N.A.U., Awka, on Tuesday.

He described Nigerians as probably the most dominant immigrant teams within the United States.

He mentioned that the ‘Windows on America’ hub aimed to offer Nigerian youths with instructional alternatives accessible in the united statesA.

“Windows on America” are free areas that provide companies to college students to study tips on how to research within the United States and tips on how to apply for scholarships to check overseas.

“The hub will help to promote mutual understanding between the U.S. and outstanding youths of Nigeria to access information about the country, its government, history, culture and education system.

“The hub will even present free libraries, on-line programs, coaching on resume writing, an incubation centre for gifted youths to develop their pure endowments, in addition to their management and entrepreneurial abilities.

“We have about 13,000 Nigerians admitted to study in the U.S. yearly. This shows that both nations share diverse cultural uniqueness,” he mentioned.

Ibelli, who mentioned the programmes supplied on the hub can be freed from cost for all youths, urged them to make the most of the platform and sources offered to develop themselves.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of N.A.U., Prof. Okechukwu Esimone, recalled that the plans for establishing the hub on the college started in December 2018, NAN experiences.
