It will likely be recalled that final Thursday, the DSS operatives stormed the house of Igboho, killing two individuals and declaring him wished.

The secret police claimed he was planning an revolt towards the nation.

Falana mentioned, “There isn’t any legislation in Nigeria that permits you to arrest someone within the useless of the night time if you find yourself not planning a coup and you aren’t an armed robber.

“There isn’t any provision except a criminal offense is being dedicated within the night time; you can not go there and arrest.

“Take Ibadan, as an illustration, the invasion of the house of Igboho occurred within the night time, and for all-day, everyone was questioning who did (what), and that seven folks have been killed. People have been arrested and kidnapped at 2: 00 a.m., the governor of the state wasn’t conscious.

“Now, Sunday Adeyemo has mentioned he didn’t have any gun in his home. Yet, the DSS paraded weapons and different ammunition. All the controversies would have been pointless if the DSS had behaved like a contemporary, civilized company. These are very harmful legacies of navy dictatorship in our nation.”

Igboho has filed a lawsuit towards the Nigerian authorities. He demanded compensation of N500 million and an apology for invading his residence and vandalizing his properties.
