THE South-East caucus of the Senate and the House of Representatives Sunday condemned assaults and steady killings within the South East geo- Political zone of the nation.

The assertion learn, “We, the South-East Caucus of the NASS, as leaders and main stakeholders within the area, have noticed with shock the sudden spike in violence within the area identified for its calm, love and peaceable disposition to guests no matter tribe and faith.

“We have had trigger all the time to deploy the instrumentalities of the establishment of state to alert the federal government of Nigeria about a few of the vexed problems with injustice, inequity and apparent marginalisation of the South East in governance construction. Nonetheless, we’ve not misplaced hope that the authorities will ultimately do the proper factor for the continued peaceable coexistence of all folks in a united Nigeria.
