Police Bust Baby Factory In Lagos, Rescue Pregnant Women

Officials of the Lagos State Police Command have found a child manufacturing unit within the Isolo space of the state and rescued two pregnant girls.

The manufacturing unit was found after males of the command arrested a 60-year-old lady, Augustina Onyenwe, who was stated to be working the manufacturing unit.

The Lagos Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, throughout a parade of suspects on the police command headquarters in Ikeja, stated the suspect was arrested following a tip-off.

According to him, the 2 pregnant girls have been rescued on the manufacturing unit following Onyenwe’s arrest.

It was alleged that the aged lady retains younger pregnant girls on the location until they’re delivered of their infants.

Odumosu stated, “A police team acted on the information given and stormed to the address, where we rescued two heavily pregnant girls.

“The suspect has made a confessional statement to that effect.”

Odumosu added that the victims, girls of ages 32 and 20 respectively, are in protecting custody whereas the suspect might be charged to court docket as quickly as potential.
