Police Arrest Soldiers Who Attempted To Free Detained Colleague, Cult Members From Custody In Osun

The police in Osun State has arrested three troopers who allegedly invaded a police submit within the Obelawo space, alongside Ikirun Road in Osogbo on Tuesday night time to free their colleague and cultists in detention.

It was gathered that the troopers have nevertheless been arrested by the Tactical Unit of Anti-Cultism arrange by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode. 

SaharaReporters learnt that the soldier who was detained by the police was accountable for calling on his colleagues to rescue him from police custody. 

Instead, they had been overpowered, arrested, and brought to the State Criminal Investigation Department. 

Osun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident, saying, “The soldiers came to the station and behaved themselves in an unruly manner but they were not successful. Three of the soldiers have been arrested and investigation is ongoing at the SCID.”
