Ogun Secondary School Students Inflict Head Injuries On Divisional Police Officer

Some rampaging college students of two secondary faculties in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have attacked the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Obantoko Division in Adatan Area Command, SP Alimeke Ignatius, and his males.

The cops have been attacked throughout a battle between college students of Egba Comprehensive High School and Asero High School.

The college students of the 2 faculties had engaged themselves in a bloody conflict earlier than males of the Obantoko police station have been known as to arrest the state of affairs.

It was learnt that the scholars, who hauled stones and different missiles at themselves, blocked the principle street, inflicting pressure among the many residents of the realm.

Alimeke and a few of his males who raced to the scene of the incident to take care of legislation and order have been allegedly injured by the scholars.

Meanwhile, the state chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has condemned the assault.

The state Chairman of PCRC, Samson Kunle Popoola, in an announcement signed by his media aide, Babatunde Odeyemi, lamented the general public dysfunction by secondary faculty college students within the state, saying “if this is not quickly checked, it may portray a great danger for the future of this country.”
