No zoning arrangement yet, APC speaks on National Convention

Prepare for real change, APC Caretaker C'ttee tells members

The ruling All Progressives Congress APC has dismissed stories within the social media that it has arrived at a zoning system for the workplaces in its National Working Committee NWC forward of its deliberate National Convention.

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the celebration, Mr Yekini Nabena in an announcement on Tuesday stated zoning of celebration workplaces was by no means a part of the agenda at Monday’s inaugural assembly of the Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee.

He stated; “A purported zoning association for the deliberate National Convention of the All Progressives Congress APC which has gone viral within the social media is faux.

“Party members, supporters, stakeholders and certainly most of the people are suggested to ignore the faux information.

“The inaugural meeting of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC) which held at the APC National Secretariat on Monday did not discuss or issue the fake zoning arrangement for the planned National Convention”.

According to Nabena, if and when a zoning association is made for the deliberate National Convention, will probably be formally communicated and publicised.

He stated the committee at its inaugural assembly unanimously adopted a six-point working doc geared toward repositioning the celebration.

“Members additionally renewed their dedication to work as a household within the curiosity of the celebration and appealed to all leaders and members to offer full cooperation to the Committee within the discharge of its duties/mandate.

“The meeting also approved the composition of the following Committees: Edo State Governorship National Campaign Council; Consultation/Reconciliation Committees for Edo and Ondo States ahead of the forthcoming governorship elections”, he added.
