Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Sunday attacked the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Church in Kabba, Kogi State, killing a worshipper.

It was gathered that the gunmen, numbering 5 and bearing AK-47 rifles, invaded the church round 8am on Sunday, capturing sporadically.

Three different worshippers have been reportedly kidnapped through the assault alongside Okedayo in Kabba.

A police supply within the state advised SaharaReporters that no contact had been made with the household or the church but relating to cost of ransom for these kidnapped. 

“They have not made any contact with the families of those abducted or the church, from what I know,” the supply stated. 

Public Relations Officer of the Kogi State Police Command, William Aya, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Sunday. 

The assault comes just a few days after the Kabba Medium Correctional Service facility was attacked.

Two troopers at a checkpoint close to the power have been killed through the incident whereas no fewer than 200 inmates have been launched by the gunmen.

Just a few days later, three poultry farmers have been kidnapped on their farm, additionally in the identical space.
