The EYN (Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa of Nigeria) often known as the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, has buried one in all its members, Ezekiel Bitrus, who was shot useless in the course of the demolition of the church constructing by the Borno State Government.
Last Thursday, process drive personnel who accompanied the Borno State Geographical Information System (BOGIS) officers to demolish the EYN church constructing in Maiduguri shot Bitrus within the chest.
SaharaReporters learnt that the safety personnel began taking pictures into the air with none provocation, resulting in the following chaos.
The incident triggered outrage among the many Christian neighborhood. State authorities mentioned they had been sustaining communication with the church management to douse rigidity.
At Bitrus’ funeral procession attended by a big crowd, nearly all of the mourners didn’t shed tears.
In a video of the burial on-line, they’re seen in excessive spirits, singing victory choruses because the casket is carried to the gravesite.
One of the songs chanted in Hausa goes thus: “I will go with Jesus to any length, no matter the roughness of the road. I must go, I must go!”
On Sunday, EYN congregants and different Christians – in solidarity – noticed service and prayers on the piles of rubble left of the demolished church.

Meanwhile, the state governor, Babagana Zulum has ordered the police to analyze the taking pictures.
