Ghana Police Arrest Nigerian Man As Suspect For Robbing Filling Station

The Ghana Police have arrested a Nigerian nationwide, Iwejuo Anthony, for allegedly taking part in a theft assault of Pacific Filling Station at Krokowhe close to Ashalaja within the Greater Accra Region of Ghana on June 5, 2021, Ghana Web experiences.

Iwejuo also called Chibona and different members of the theft gang have been stated to have assaulted and tied the petrol attendants within the station.

According to Ghana Web, in addition they penetrated the metallic secure of the gasoline station and carted away an undisclosed sum of money, a laptop computer, and different useful objects.

“The Ghana Police Services say it has arrested suspect Iwejuo Anthony alias Chibona who together with others attacked and robbed Pacific Filling Station, Krokowhe near Ashalaja in the Greater Accra region, at the dawn 5th June, 2021.

“The suspect assaulted and tied fuel attendants, broke into the metallic safe of the filling station, and stole an unspecified amount of money, a laptop, and other items,” the report revealed.

It took the intervention of the safety operatives close by and the brave act of the proprietor of the station and assist from the neighbours to nab Iwejuo, whereas different suspects are stated to be at giant.

“However, with security interventions laid by the station owner, coupled with his bravery and support from neighbours, the suspect was arrested.

“Some of the stolen and a heavy pointed metal bar was retrieved from the suspect. Efforts are underway to arrest the other suspects,” the report added.
