The senator representing Abia South within the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has reacted to the defection of Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Abaribe stated Fani-Kayode’s defection confirmed former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s comment about his character.
Fani-Kayode had formally joined APC on Thursday throughout a gathering with President Muhammadu Buhari on the State House – an motion which drew condemnation from a number of quarters.
The lawyer-turned-politician was introduced to Buhari by the performing National Chairman of the APC, Mai Mala-Buni.
Reacting to the defection, Abaribe described Fani-Kayode as a confused human being.
Appearing on Arise TV, the Senate Minority Leader stated: “I do not want to dwell on his issue. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had said it all before ‘Femi Fani-Kayode is my boy. Provide him food, he will eat and then sing for you. He’s a smart boy.”
The Senate Minority Leader recalled that Obasanjo as soon as stated Fani-Kayode would all the time go to the place there may be “food.”
Abaribe additionally confused that the PDP would return to energy in 2023.
