The former minister formally returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday.

He was introduced to President Muhammadu Buhari on the State House, Abuja, by the Chairman of APC National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

Fani-Kayode had, in April, described Pantami as a “jihadist”, following the previous’s pro-Al-Qaeda views.

He additionally requested President Buhari to arrest and prosecute the minister for his extremist views and hyperlinks to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
