Yobe state Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, has on Thursday permitted the recruitment of 54 nurses extra to spice up the workers requirement of medical amenities within the state.

Governor Buni whereas giving the approval, directed that solely certified nurses needs to be employed to offer providers within the well being establishments.

He stated nurses who graduated from the Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery in 2020 might be accorded precedence.

“In view of the growing calls for of healthcare providers and our authorities willpower to offer high quality of well being care supply to our individuals, we’ve got permitted the quick employment of 54 nurses to spice up the workers requirement of medical amenities within the state.

“Therefore, I’ve directed that solely certified nurses needs to be employed to offer providers within the well being establishments, particularly a precedence needs to be given to those that graduated from the Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery in 2020.

“This became necessary following the establishment, expansion and upgrading of more health institutions across the state by the present administration”. Buni acknowledged.

He urged the potential workers to be devoted to responsibility and duties assigned to them when absorbed into the state civil service.

The Buni administration, he stated, has upgraded six complete well being centres to General hospitals in Machina, Yusufari, Jajimaji, Bara, Babangida and Nguru, whereas 4 General hospitals in Gashua, Potiskum, Geidam and Buni Yadi have been upgraded to Specialists Hospitals.
