BREAKING: Sowore, Adeyanju Meet Pastor Enenche Over Arrest of Activists Wearing #BuhariMustGo T-shirts

Human rights activists, Omoyele Sowore and Deji Adeyanju have met with the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche over the arrest of six activists within the church for carrying #BuhariMustGo T-shirts on Sunday. 

The activists arrived on the church round 3: 00pm alongside their lawyer, Barrister Abubakar Marshal, and had a closed-door assembly with the pastor the place it was confirmed that the arrest was made by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) however not the church safety officers.

Addressing journalists after the assembly, Adeyanju defined that the church has no hand in your complete incident that occurred. 

He added that the pastor knowledgeable them that he had taken steps at 7: 00am to make sure that the activists have been launched. 

He mentioned the pastor confirmed that the activists dedicated no crime and that he had reached out to the DSS authority concerning the matter. 

Adeyanju mentioned, “There is something  the pastor said which I must reemphasise here, that they did not like the fact that the activists came and were making noises here but that he doesn’t want this thing to be misconstrued to mean it is the church that is sponsoring the protest.”

While clarifying the matter, Sowore mentioned the pastor denied claims by some individuals that the activists have been making an attempt to disrupt the church service. 

He mentioned the pastor confirmed to them that he noticed them after they got here out for altar name that he was even excited seeing them and that the declare was not true. 

Sowore mentioned, “They came here and it is their right, I wore my own T-shirt to meet with him today, my #BuhariMustGo T-shirt. So there is nobody who can tell you what to wear to church or to wear to school except schools that have uniforms. 

“But we’re adults and if we’re bored with the system and we are saying the system should collapse, it’s our proper to specific ourselves freely. I informed the pastor when he mentioned he was not glad when the activists have been making an attempt to protest throughout the premises that with the best way issues are happening, increasingly folks can be carrying #BuhariMustGo T-shirts to the church as a result of individuals are bored with Buhari regime. 

“We have a respectable agreement and some disagreements over this issue but what is important to me and why I don’t want to drag this for too long is the release of these individuals from detention. 

“We are going to attend until night as a result of we requested that they need to be launched in the present day (Monday). Nobody is aware of their whereabouts. We do not  know whether or not they have been fed or  they’ve been tortured.” 

Meanwhile, there was a gentle drama on the gate of the church when the activists have been granting press interviews. 

Some overzealous policemen challenged them and pointed weapons on the journalists who have been conducting the interviews. 

The scenario led to heated arguments because the gun-wielding operatives insisted on figuring out their mission for granting Interviews on the gate. 

The confusion which lasted for a couple of minutes was introduced below management when the activists stood their floor that that they had not violated any legislation by their motion.
