BREAKING: Nigeria’s Anti-graft Agency, EFCC Seals Ex-Governor Kwankwaso’s Property In Kano

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sealed a property belonging to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso in Kano State.

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, represented Kano Central Senatorial District within the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015.

It was learnt that the anti-graft company had been investigating the previous governor over an allegation of diversion of native authorities funds amounting to N3.08 billion. 

A petition written by one Barrister Mustapha Danjuma on behalf of Engineer Abubakar Maisha’ani and Alhaji Najumai Garba Kobo, had alleged that Kwankwaso acquired contributions of N70 million from every of the 44 native authorities councils within the state (totalling N3.08 billion) in direction of his presidential major in 2015, Daily Trust reviews.
