African Parliament Condemns George Floyd’s Death

The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) says it’s shocked by the dying of George Floyd by the hands of law enforcement officials in Minneapolis, United States.

Acting President of PAP, Bouras Djamel, in a press release on Monday, stated the organisation’s ideas and prayers are along with his household and family members, African Americans in addition to all different world residents affected by his demise.

The continental parliament helps the assertion issued by H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, on behalf of the African Union, condemning the homicide and rejecting the never-ending discriminatory practices towards black residents within the United States.

The assertion reads, “The Pan-African Parliament stands in solidarity towards injustice, racism, discrimination, and violence of any variety primarily based on race and ethnicity.

“The Parliament will welcome decisive actions towards perpetrators of violence towards Africans dwelling within the United States of America.

“The continental parliament also commends the world for standing up against this glaring violation of the human rights of the people of colour.”
