Abia journalist returns N90,000 wrongly transferred to his account by POS operator

Abia-based journalists, Chukwuemeka Onyekwere, a News Editor with the Vision Africa Radio, Umuahia, has returned N90,000 wrongly credited to his account by a Point of Sale, POS, operator in Umuahia.

Handing over the money to the POS operator, on the NUJ Press Centre Umuahia, Onyekwere stated he deposited some money to his account by way of the POS operator, however was later credited with additional N90,000.

He stated that when he obtained credit score alert on his telephone hours after the transaction, he found he had N90,000 above his deposit, and felt that he shouldn’t maintain quiet.

The journalist who’s a devoted member of the Assemblies of God Church, stated that it was towards his religion to “corner” what doesn’t rightfully belong to him.

Onyekwere popularly recognized on air as MC Real stated that he had an obligation to dwell exemplary life.

Responding, the POS operator, Augustine Akubuilo, expressed pleasure and shock that the cash was returned to him.

He stated he didn’t know that males of integrity nonetheless abound within the nation, and prayed God to bless the journalist.
